So that's it then, the end of the second European Tour with some special friends and great cars (Bessie failed the MOT the day after).

It worked well with no problems until we hit the English shore and the M25 , when all hell broke loose.

The plan to make it to the Cherry Tree pub in Oxfordshire was completed only by Chris and Roger, everyone else ended up eating in Woking !
Anyway , hope you liked our 2013 tour, we certainly did !!!!!!

We thought we had managed to catch an early ferry, but it was not to be as the boat was ridiculously small. 
It would have been a money saver missing the superstores in Calais but like many of our better ideas putting the theory into action failed ..........

The trouble is after the coconut beer you begin to think you can see Freddy Mercury crowd surfing

The problem with roads is that they occasionally contain traffic. A five hour journey can easily become a six hour journey , and so on. 
As Chris, our safety expert, says - there are ways to reduce the problems such as banning all cyclists and caravans from the roads. 

Today was spent checking out Colmar, paying special attention to its water and ruby beer.......

The rules when traveling in a group :- if anyone gets into trouble, especially if it involves people in authority , the rest of the group should get out as fast as they can.

Long drive tomorrow through France and Switzerland , so today we treated ourselves to a relaxing day of white water rafting.
Bumped and bruised we are now ready for our journey onwards.

With 45 percent less oxygen we know it's a breathtaking experience but it
has to be done ! The tip is to breath twice as fast and then everything is
alright.

So enjoy the pictures resulting from the journey on Europes' highest cable car,
and imagine the screams as it swung precariously from pylon to pylon.

Last year, as you all know , we failed in our primary mission to conquer the Stelvio Pass,
This year we tried for the 'Route Napolean' and we have to report a success.

This was tinged with no fear what so ever when we discovered some hives in the
mountain and were swarmed at by a flock of bees.

Knowing our invites had been lost in the post we thought it would be rude not to attend the wedding anyway.
Dressed to the nines our intrepid team braved the rough Mediterranean Sea for the crossing to St. Tropez. Sneaking past the bodyguards and trying to avoid the autograph hunters that have been plaguing our every move we made it to the church on time. However the wait was boring so we decided a brain freeze drink and sit by the beach would be a much more fruitful use for our day and anyway they will probably be divorced by tomorrow.
